A row of fountains in a garden of roses leads you into the treasures of Peacock Pavilions. Everything you see here has a story to tell; the table that was once the bottom of an Indian cart, masks from West Africa, Moroccan lights designed by your hostess Maryam and hand-stenciled floors and ceilings made by artists the world over.
In each article adorning the lovely rooms you will discover the attention to detail and the care that comes with treasures selected with inspiration and arranged with love.
But Peacock Pavilions is more than just rooms. The Atlas Pavilion has its very own catwalk high in the air; the Medina Pavilion is equipped with a kitchen that will inspire you to reach culinary heights. Both Pavilions have grand domed salons to make you feel like a pasha in this serene oasis.
The Atlas Pavilion faces the snow capped High Atlas Mountains and you can admire the view from your private rooftop terrace or while lounging on vintage embroideries on the heavenly catwalk. Descend into the Atlas Salon via the spiral staircase and feel like Anthony and Cleopatra as you take your mint tea under the soaring 18 foot ceiling and pyramid shaped dome. The ultimate place to relax, the salon has a stunning lacy plasterwork that took weeks to complete. There is also seating for intimate discussions and a dining area for cozy meals.
Admire the vintage Moroccan Fantasia horse saddle with hand embroidery, hand drilled Egyptian lanterns, red plastic furniture from Morocco’s hippie 1960s and 70s ‘pasha pad’, huge vintage Moroccan trays from Fes and much, much more.
The Atlas Pavilion is the perfect house with its 1,300 square feet (135 square meters). It comprises two gorgeous bedrooms each bedroom with its own romantic fireplace and glamorous bathroom. You may specify twin beds or a king bed. Each bedroom also has 400 square feet of private roof terrace — just the right place to enjoy a mint tea or a zingy cocktail. Ah, vacation is swell, isn’t it?
Enter The Medina Pavilion through the great horseshoe arch, a shape believed to protect against the evil eye.
Compare your robes to the vintage Moroccan wedding burnoose that adorns the wall or lounge under the spectacular Persian chandelier. Take your tea by the hand-stencilled fireplace or cook up a storm in your very own kitchen.
Admire the many original covers of antique French newspapers, representing the Moroccan colonial period, a handmade chair from the Uruba tribe in Nigeria, the curtains made with pieces of antique Yemeni sari with real silver work, a hand carved Moroccan pillar with antique glass beads and much, much more.
The Medina Pavilion is a 2,400 square foot (225 square meters) house with 1,225 square feet (114 square meters) of terraces. It boasts three splendid bedroom, each with a king bed or twin beds if you prefer. Two of the three bedrooms have their own fireplace and each private bathroom has beautifully tiled floors and vessel sinks. The upstairs bedroom leads out onto a private terrace with the most glorious view. Everyone can also take advantage of a fully equipped kitchen and a darling dining room.

The 800 square-foot Pool is the centre piece that connects the Pavilions and invites you to cool off when the party gets too hot. Alternatively, you could skinny dip into the glistening water under a star-filled sky, but only if we’re not looking.
Hidden away in the olive grove, you find our Outdoor Cinema. This exclusive theatre has a huge screen, amazing surround sound, deckchair seating and a charming fire pit to warm up those cool evenings. Expect cold beers, hot cocoa and popcorn. You might even want to “play it again, Sam!”
Another magical feature is our exotic Dining Tent. Lush carpets create a cosy atmosphere and the handembroidered linen will provide the perfect backdrop to the scrumptious banquet that you will be served. Your dinner will be a feast not only for the eyes.
And for the more active ones amongst you, we offer free access to our Outdoor Gym - perfect to work off those tagines under the shaded thatch. One-on-one personal training or Pilates can be arranged but do remember you are on holiday!
